After 25 years of servicing and helping people in the hair care industry, I've heard my fair share of concerns. Most of these concerns were about the difficulties people had with their personal care products. One day a client expressed to me his dissatisfaction with many of the products he used, and in conversation he thought it would be a good idea for me to create my product line. I expressed to him I would consider it. After much consideration, I consulted with my team, my wife, my clients, my friends, and those within the hair care industry who had managed and owned businesses. I even conferred with my children to hear their thoughts. Everyone agreed it was a good idea.

    So, this led and inspired me to formulate an alternative aftershave product for my clients. You see, many of them were tired of products that didn't work. Not only that, but they often struggled with all kinds of skin problems. Some had ingrown hairs, razor bumps, burns, and severe cases of dandruff, to name a few. So, to test the market for people wanting and needing better products with natural and organic ingredients, I polled many of my clients. The results were they all expressed interest. This feedback gave me all the fuel I needed to pursue this path.

    Because my wife, Sandra, suffers from chronic migraines, she uses many organic products and ingredients to help give herself a fighting chance to reduce the possibility of getting a major migraine, thus soothing the pain. Unfortunately, this has caused us to have to make major adjustments in life. However, these experiences have taught us how to trust God in the process.

    Some of the products she used played a significant role in eliminating some of the triggers that caused her headaches. So, with Sandra's knowledge and experience using organic products and ingredients, along with my expertise in barbering, and with much diligent research in the use of essential oils and many failed attempts, I was finally able to create a unique formula for my clients to use on a regular basis. At first, I tested this formula with my clients in order to produce a product strictly for them. But then, I thought about how it might be beneficial for others who might struggle with the same problems.

    After receiving rave reviews from my clients, the demand for better products using pure organic and natural ingredients became evident. So, a natural cosmetic line for men was born. Astringe was established and launched in 2013 in San Diego, California. And, my first product was a men's aftershave salve. This was the only product I've been able to produce and sell under this brand.

    Currently, I've been using Astringe for almost ten years to service clients, and they love it! I've also been able to sell this product to others who frequent the barbershop for services. Sometimes, I've even given it away to see how it might help them, and it's been confirmed again and again by returning customers that there's a demand for a men's product line using purely organic ingredients.

    After using Astringe for many years, during COVID, I finally had the time and resources to launch a premium personal care line for men. After filing for the rights to have Astringe trademarked by the US Patent and Trademark Office, I was denied and unable to acquire the name as my personal brand.

    So, after that disappointing news, I went back to the drawing board, knowing I had to rebuild it all again, and with the help of my son, we landed on our new name, "REBUILLD." Our company is a family-owned business. We plan to only produce premium products for men using the best ingredients, with the best technology and services. However, our convictions have changed, so we've decided to not only use organic and all-natural products, but we will use the best ingredients on the planet for the sake and well-being of our customers.
